Bill Morong fell in love with boats during high school in Midcoast Maine where he worked in the chandlery at a local marina. An education at Maine Maritime Academy led to a job as chief maintenance engineer on a 102-foot Feadship. Within a few years he was captain aboard a 90-foot Burger. He branched out into project work, repairing, retrofitting, and selling some of the most elite crafts on the water. He has served as a corporate captain for Lazzara Yachts, ran the Marine program for credit card giant MBNA, and served as a private captain for a number of notable owners, including Sol Kerzner during the development of Atlantis in the Bahamas.
